The SAI has provided a response to the Department of Finance on its recent consultation paper for a review of the Standard Fund Threshold regime in the Irish pensions landscape.

Investment Approaches to AE : Submission to the Department of Social Protection

The Pensions Commission was established by the Government in November 2020 to consider issues around the State Pension which had been included in the Programme for Government, with the objective of reporting to the Minister for Social Protection by 30 June 2021.

The Society has submitted a response to the Consultation Document issued by the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection on: ‘A Strawman Public Consultation Process for an Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings System for Ireland’.

The Society has submitted its response to the Consultation on Supplementary Pensions Reform: Roadmap for Pensions Reform 2018-2023 issued by the Interdepartmental Pensions Reform and Taxation Group.

The Society has submitted a response to the Pensions Authority consultation document on the Regulation of defined contribution master trusts.

The DC consultation process conducted by the Pensions Authority in late 2013 set out the Authority’s views on the future of DC provision and sought responses to specific questions raised. In relation to pension scheme governance the Authority indicated that it would publish a code of governance that would provide trustees with a central reference point for the key areas of a DC scheme.

In April 2015, the Universal Retirement Savings Group (URSG) initiated consultation with stakeholders on developing a roadmap and timeline for the introduction of a new, universal, supplementary workplace retirement saving scheme.

The Society welcomes the opportunity to submit a response to the URSG consultation on the potential parameters of a universal retirement savings system.
