Governance

The Council appoints working committees to undertake, under the direction of the Council, some of the detailed work of the Society. The committees work on current issues and research in such areas as demography, pensions, life assurance, general insurance, investments, health care, enterprise risk management, social policy, international actuarial issues and the education and training of actuaries.

The date and venue for the AGMs of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and related papers will be posted here each year in advance of the meeting.

The Committee on Professional Conduct is an independent committee which has been charged with oversight of the Disciplinary Scheme. 

The Committee on Professional Conduct arranges for the investigation of complaints and for the mediation of any disputes that do not involve misconduct, in accordance with the provisions of the Scheme.
