China is one of the world’s most dynamic economies. Measured in many ways China’s importance on the global stage is expanding.

Of particular importance to investors is the process of liberalisation of the nation’s capital account. Over the past seven years Chinese authorities have taken steps to ease international investor access to onshore Chinese assets. This process is the largest such liberalisation since mainland Europe in the 1980’s and Japan in the 1990’s.

The speaker, Tom Brooke-Smith will discuss what impact this liberalisation is having on mainstream indices and if or how investors might build their allocation to Chinese assets.
