SAI and COVID-19 Update
The Society has put together this page to collate information and updates for our members on Society matters relating to COVID-19.
The health and safety of our members and staff is paramount which is why we have taken necessary steps to reduce the risk of transmission.
Please note that the Society's office is currently closed until further notice. This is to protect staff and volunteers from COVID-19.
All Society staff are working from home and can be contacted by email as normal.

Council and our Committees and Working Groups are still operating too, through virtual meetings. Many thanks to all our volunteers for working with us to keep things going.
COVID-19 Action Group
At its April 2020 meeting, Council decided to establish a COVID-19 Action Group (“CAG”).
The CAG, comprising representatives from the Practice Committees and members who had expressed an interest in getting involved, had an initial Zoom meeting, following which it was agreed to set up two separate subgroups to consider how to address its objectives.
Details of the group's objectives and members of the two sub-groups are available here.
The group has collated “COVID-19 - Useful Links & Wider Perspectives” for members’ benefit – these are available here.
You can also access our COVID-19 Action Group Blog here.
Many thanks to all members and guest presenters who helped us to deliver virtual CPD events during recent months, and many thanks also to everyone who attended and participated. Keep an eye on our “Upcoming Events" webpage for details of future events.
The actuview platform and the IMI offer other opportunities for gaining online CPD. We will also let you know about some other sources of online CPD through events emails and our “External Events” webpage.
CPD and Professionalism Training Requirements
In the current exceptional circumstances, Council has decided to adapt the CPD and professionalism training requirements in a way that maintains our commitment to high standards of competence and care whilst recognising the need for flexibility. Please refer to the CPD webpage for details and, if you are also an IFoA member, please note the “Further matters for IFoA members” within the note here.
All SAI Higher-Level Maths Tutorials for 2020 will take place virtually. Full information is available here https://web.actuaries.ie/students/maths-tutorials-higher-level-leaving-….
