Jamie and Paul will cover:
- Setting the scene - climate change and the realities of what we need to achieve in the coming years to achieve net zero,
- Overview of the renewables market across Europe – high level description of the overall market size and value, details on the differing technologies/ sub-sectors and a finally defining what is renewable infrastructure,
- Valuation – a deep dive into how we value renewable infrastructure globally and the key risks and assumptions involved with the acquisition and ongoing management of these assets
- How can investors access these cashflows – a brief overview of the fund structures and where a renewable infrastructure investment may fit into an institutional investor’s portfolio
Jamie Milne: Jamie joined Greencoat in 2017 and is responsible for Greencoat's Private Markets investor relations and fund-raising activities. Prior to joining Greencoat, Jamie worked at BlackRock in the Institutional Client Business. There he was part of the strategic clients team which managed relationships with many of the largest pension schemes in the UK, and had particular responsibility for new client development. He started his investment management career at JP Morgan Asset Management in 2013. Following university, Jamie served for five years as an infantry Captain in the British Army, with postings in Belize, the UK, Germany and Afghanistan. Jamie holds a BSc in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds, an IMC and is a CAIA Charterholder.
Paul O’Donnell: Paul joined Greencoat Capital in 2009 and, together with Bertrand Gautier, he manages Greencoat Renewables plc. Paul has specialised in managing investments in the wind and solar generation sectors, working across development, operations, technology, and financing. Prior to joining Greencoat Capital, he worked with Libertas Capital, the specialist renewable energy investment bank. At Libertas, Paul advised renewable companies on raising equity and focussed on the AIM market. He started his career with PwC Ireland in Dublin. Paul holds a BBS (Hons) in Finance from Trinity College Dublin.
