Aircraft Finance: Goshawk CEO on M&A’s, Asset Management and how actuaries can fit in

The Banking and Aviation Committee, a sub-committee of Wider Fields committee, is delighted to announce a breakfast with Ruth Kelly, one of the world’s leading aircraft leasing CEOs.

Aircraft Finance is now a huge industry for Ireland and is already a source of career opportunities for actuaries.

Biographical details

Ruth has been working in aviation for 18 years in a variety of senior financial roles with both established and start-up aircraft leasing enterprises.

A founding member of RBS Aviation Capital (“RBSAC”), she held a number of executive roles in the company. These included Head of Investor Markets (with the global responsibility for aircraft trading, debt syndication and sourcing financing) and Head of Risk and Strategy. She was part of the founding team of Goshawk which was established in 2013 and became CEO of the business in 2015.

With the recent announcement of its intention to acquire Sky Aviation Leasing International this acquisition will place Goshawk as one of top 10 leasing companies in the world.
