Defined Contribution Investing - An International Perspective
As pension provision is increasingly being provided on a DC basis, trustees and plan sponsors are finding that determining and implementing the appropriate investment strategy that fits well with plan provisions and member engagement is not as straight forward as it initially might have seemed. When the increased flexibility as to how benefits can be taken at retirement is added to the mix, determining an appropriate default option and range of self select funds becomes even more challenging. This Finance & Investment Committee session looks at how DC investment strategy is being considered in the US and UK and assesses whether any trends and practices in these markets could be adopted in Ireland.
