Discount Rates

The Actuarial Profession has published a new framework for use of discount rates in actuarial work.  The Summary by the Discount Rates Steering Committee (DRSC) and their final recommendations and way forward is attached.  The DRSC's final update on the January 2011 recommendations and subsequent discussions is also attached.  The Chairman of the DRSC, Charles Cowling and Andrew Smith, a member of the DRSC, will make a presentation to the Society on this new framework on 19 January 2012.
