Wider Fields Committee

The Wider Fields Committee (“WFC”) is dedicated to broadening the reach of the Actuarial profession in Ireland beyond its traditional areas of employment. Its goals include enabling actuaries to reach out into new areas of work, and ensuring the society stays relevant to members who are already working in non-traditional areas of practice. This includes actuaries working in non-traditional roles in traditional companies, as well as those working for non-traditional companies.

This aligns very closely to the Society's mission to serve and support all our members, to foster connection and engagement, to develop the profile of the profession and to maintain a flourishing, forward-looking profession - SAI Strategy Plan.

The Banking & Aviation Finance Committee is a sub-committee of the WFC.
