The General Insurance Committee contributes and responds to regulatory developments affecting actuaries in the non-life insurance / reinsurance arena and informs members about them through briefing sessions and other media. The Committee also prepares and maintains Actuarial Standards of Practice in order to foster high standards in actuarial work. In addition, the Committee organises evening meetings, discussion forums and other continuing professional education opportunities for actuaries.
