The Society of Actuaries in Ireland has issued a press release following a presentation at the SAI's Annual Convention from the Chair of the Pensions Council, Roma Burke, which calls for tax and legislation changes to promote gender equality in Private Pensions Coverage.

Climate change is affecting how risks are underwritten, priced, managed and reported globally, whether for general insurance, life insurance, pensions, other financial institutions, and social security.  

This is one of the key messages in a paper ‘Climate Change Matters’ published by the Society of Actuaries in Ireland on Monday Oct 24th.

We are delighted to announce that Colm Fagan, a Past President of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, is a co-winner of the inaugural Frank Redington Prizes, awarded by the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA). 

Frank Redington (1906 – 1984) is widely recognised as a great thinker who brought forward prolific new ideas, and one of the most influential actuaries of all time.
