In-person: Expanding Actuarial Horizons: IT Insights from beyond the Spreadsheet

In today’s rapidly evolving data landscape, actuaries are increasingly required to not only analyze data but also to innovate in the way they handle, process, and share it. We need to change how we work, but we’re not the first mover and we can learn from approaches tried and tested by other professions.

This presentation introduces the concept of an “Actuarial Citizen Developer Ecosystem”, a forward-thinking approach that empowers actuaries to become citizen developers. By leveraging software tools (beyond excel), actuaries can create tailored solutions that meet their specific needs - enhancing their efficiency and effectiveness.

This session will involve a presentation, followed by a panel session, and Q&A.
