In-person: Non-Life Seminar

We are delighted to announce the SAI's Non-Life Insurance Seminar! This is an in-person event and there will be a drinks reception afterwards in the famous Shelbourne Bar, so all attendees are welcome to stay on for a drink. The Society will cover the attendee’s first drink.

This event features a range of speakers including:

  • Grace von Offenberg Sweeney (Head of Actuarial, Insurance Supervision at the Central Bank of Ireland) on pricing discipline.
  • Georgie Tuffin (Reinsurance broker at Gallagher Re) on the latest developments in cat modelling.
  • Followed by a panel discussion on Climate Change hosted by Joe Kennedy (Director at PwC). The panel will include Georgie, Paddy Ryan (MD at Gallagher Re), Aidan Redmond (Insurance Leader at AXA) and Sinead Kiernan (CRO at Everest Re) with diverse perspectives on climate change and pricing.
  • The seminar will end with a session on the topic of ‘Will Actuarial Input be replaced by AI?’, presented by Chris Halliday (Director at Willis Towers Watson), Daniel Ramsay (Actuarial Data Scientist at Willis Towers Watson) and Cecilia Cheuk (Director at Willis Towers Watson)
