Web session: CRO Circle meeting
We are delighted to announce the next meeting of the CRO circle will be a virtual meeting online, via Zoom on Wednesday, 8th February 2023.
In order to attend this meeting, you must be a SAI member and be appointed to the CRO role (PCF14), or expect to take on this role in the near future.
The topics for discussion will be:
- Recovery Plans
- Top & Emerging Risks
The main topic for discussion is Recovery Plans, and specifically the feedback from the Central Bank’s thematic review of same as issued to companies in November 2022. For this session we will be joined by John Fitzgerald, Head of Function, Cross-Border, Insurance Supervision Division at the Central Bank of Ireland, who will present and have a Q&A in relation to the observations from the thematic review. This will be a great opportunity to hear first hand from the Central Bank, and to discuss issues to assist with the next Recovery Plan cycle.
If time allows, we will also be discussing Top & Emerging Risks with a view to identifying potential topics for our next CRO Circle meetings.
The CRO Circle was established by the Society’s ERM Committee to create a forum for Chief Risk Officers to discuss and share knowledge of common interest in a supportive and confidential environment. The Circle aims to be an open, informal and discursive forum, organised on a “round table” basis. The Circle’s terms of reference are available here. Any members of the Society currently filling a PCF14 role in an insurer/reinsurer are welcome to attend the Circle meetings. |
