Technical Analysis - A Complementary Tool for Fundamental Analysts

Announcements from the CFA organiser: There is a belief that Technical and Fundamental Analysis can be extremely complementary tools for asset managers and technical analysis should not be seen purely as a timing tool or the last piece of the research process. In the session we will look to highlight the uses of Technical/Charts based analysis throughout the research undertaking, across the full asset class spectrum. In addition, we will look to highlight the importance of relative strength analysis in Equity investing a theme more important than ever as passive strategies continue to take share. Finally, we will discuss the importance of long term technical analysis and how it can be used alongside fundamental analysis. The intention is to make the session as interactive as possible.
