Brendan Moran, Director, Business Development, Setanta Asset Management
Brendan joined Setanta, a boutique active manager, in 2014. He has over 28 years’ investment experience, previously as Head of Equities with Irish Life Investment Managers. He has held various investment roles at Irish Life, including those of Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst, before being appointed Head of Equities in 2006. Brendan has worked closely with both the consultant community and directly with clients in this role, understanding client requirements and implementing active equity strategies. He qualified with a BComm from University College Dublin and has since received his CDipAF from the ACCA, and MSC (Investment and Treasury) from Dublin City University.
Paul Henderson, PhD, Director, BlackRock Investment Institute
Paul is a member of the Portfolio Research Group within the BlackRock Investment Institute (BII). The team are responsible for developing and curating the core principles and intellectual property that underpin BlackRock's approach to portfolio design, such as capital market assumptions and optimisation tools. Dr. Henderson joined the firm in 2007. Prior to joining BII, he worked in BlackRock's solutions business, working with a wide variety of clients to construct portfolios to meet their investment outcome needs, taking into account liabilities, capital constraints and investment market conditions. Dr. Henderson earned an MSci degree in physics from Imperial College London in 2004, a PhD degree in space plasma physics from University College London in 2008 and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance in 2011
