IMI Event: IMI Advant-Edge: Building Effective Teams Through Improvisation - Cork

Details of the Society’s partnership with the Irish Management Institute (IMI) are available here.

In order to guarantee places at this event, the Society needs to advise the IMI as soon as possible on the number of members attending.

Today’s leaders must be agile. In the current economic environment, individuals are expected to be highly adaptable and rise to many unseen challenges. A fresh but proven approach to team building, improvisation (improv) encourages participants to develop the key components of being part of a high performing team.

Neil Curran is a teaching and performing improv expert with over 18 years of management and corporate experience. Neil has worked with organisations including Google, Facebook and Dropbox, using Improv techniques to encourage individuals to be more adaptable by learning to react without pre-planning.

This workshop will promote the goals of building effective teams through exercises that focus on developing core skills of improv, such as active listening, being present, accepting and building on ideas and collaboration.

Upcoming IMI events are listed on the ‘Events’ section of the SAI website. The limited number of complimentary tickets (each worth €125) available will be allocated to Fellow members of the SAI in the order in which their reservations for the relevant event are received. Fellow members not in receipt of a complimentary ticket may request a special code to receive a 50% discount on ticket prices (ticket purchases are dependent on availability).
