CANCELLED: Finance & Investment Forum: Preparing for a world with more borders

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Finance & Investment Forum: Preparing for a world with more borders that was due to take place on Tuesday 13th November has been cancelled. The Forum will be rescheduled to another date and those who have booked will be contacted directly.

We will arrange refunds for anyone who had booked and paid online.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

************************************

At this year’s Forum, we are delighted to have a number of excellent speakers who will explore major economic and financial themes. While the outcome of Brexit remains uncertain, our keynote speaker, Danny McCoy, will give an insight into how Irish businesses are preparing for whatever Brexit may bring and for a world that might have more borders. As CEO of Ibec,  Danny brings a unique perspective from across the Irish business landscape.

Zixuan Peng and Colm Fitzgerald of UCD will outline some of the key lessons from Zixuan’s research into the history of trade wars, discuss trade war theory and look at the US / Chinese trade war from an economics, political and psychological perspective.

We will also have a few short presentations, including an overview of the work of the Society’s Environmental, Social & Governance Working Group and an update from the Finance & Investment Committee.

Please note that there is a charge of €60 for attendance at this event, in line with the Society’s policy (introduced early this year) of charging for forums.  This is due to the costs associated with hiring venues, which has increased significantly.
