Actuary 2020 – A profession on the move

The third European Congress of Actuaries (ECA 2019) will be hosted by the Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) in conjunction with the Instituto dos Atuários Portugueses (IAP) and the European Actuarial Academy (EAA) on 6 and 7 June 2019, in Lisbon. 

The 3rd European Congress of Actuaries will discuss the professional challenges and opportunities in traditional work areas as well as in new areas of activity of actuaries: new technologies, data science and cyber risks, behavioral finance, consumer protection, independent advice, capital standards, implementation of Solvency II, IORP, actuarial skills in wider fields and much more. The target audience includes practitioners, actuaries and academics, risk managers working in industry, decision makers and other professionals interested in the future of risk management in Europe.

The overall theme of the ECA 2019 is “Actuary 2020 – A profession on the move”. 

ECA 2019: Congress program published

The full congress program including all speakers and titles is now available. The program features four plenary sessions with invited guest speakers from institutions related to the actuarial profession, regulation and academia. Furthermore 40 Breakout Sessions in three parallel lecture rooms will focus on current challenges, approaches and future tasks for the actuarial profession. ECA 2019: Register now for the early bird fee

Registration for the ECA 2019 is now open! All speakers receive a discount on the regular ticket fee. Full time academics can register for the reduced academics fee. Registration includes admission to the scientific sessions as well as the gala dinner. Make sure to sign up before 28 February 2019 in order to benefit from the very affordable early bird fee.
