Pensions: Inclusion, communication & accountability
The European Network for Research on Supplementary Pensions (ENRSP) will hold its 2018 conference on Thursday, 20 September and Friday, 21 September at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The theme is Pensions: Inclusion, communication & accountability
Brendan Kennedy, Chief Executive of The Pensions Authority, will welcome delegates.
Susan Kiuvalainen, the Head of Research at the Finnish Centre for Pensions since August 2013, is the keynote speaker. She oversees the research in support of the evaluation and development of earnings-related pensions (ERPs) in Finland. Finland recently implemented pension reforms intended to secure the financing of ERPs, promote sufficient retirement income and achieve intergenerational fairness. According to the European Commission (2017) Finland "is a paradigm for reforms that have been carried out, particularly within the ERP system, to incentivise longer working lives." The Commission presents Finnish reforms as a model for a sustainable European pension solution.
There will be 20 papers presented by European and US academics.
