IMI Event: Connect Lounge 1: Mastering Executive Presence

Details of the Society’s partnership with the Irish Management Institute (IMI) are available here.

Through this partnership, the Society can avail of 10 complimentary places at certain IMI events and a discount of 50% for additional attendees, provided the event has not booked out.

This particular CPD workshop is aimed at senior level managers only.

It is designed to ensure managers are constantly refreshing and enhancing their management and leadership know how.

Why do certain leaders have the ability to really engage, inspire and move people to act?

Executive Presence has long been acknowledged as a critical factor in leadership. However, people struggle to capture what it really means, and the default assumption is to equate presence with appearance and presentation skills.

Whilst these factors are important, they make up only a small piece of the “executive presence puzzle” that helps leaders achieve sustained levels of success. Using the Bates ExPI model, which explores Character (how to build Trust), Substance (how to demonstrate Credibility) and Style (how to Inspire action) this session will provide you with practical insights and techniques to improve your own level of Executive Presence to get the results you want in your organisation.

In order to guarantee places at this event, the Society needs to advise the IMI as soon as possible on the number of members attending.

If you wish to attend this event, please email the Society with your *name, job title and mobile number to info@actuaries.ie by **Monday, 16th April.

The draw for the complimentary places will take place on the 17th April and we will contact you shortly afterwards to advise you of the next steps.
