SAI AGM followed by the presentation: What do our Key Stakeholders think of the Actuarial Profession?

The AGM will be followed immediately by a presentation of the survey results.

The Society commissioned an independent external survey to help us gain a deeper insight into the image and reputation of actuaries amongst key stakeholders in Ireland.  The Survey which was conducted by Behaviour & Attitudes involved the carrying out of face-to-face individual in-depth interviews, each lasting 45-60 minutes. 

The interviewees spanned a range of practice areas and included users of actuarial services, employers of actuaries and other stakeholders such as regulators and representatives of kindred organisations.

The Survey was carried out between Nov 2016 and January 2017.  Council would now like to share with members the results of this qualitative research and to discuss any actions that the Society should consider as a result of the feedback received.  The outcome of this Survey will provide members with a deeper insight into how our profession is viewed by our key stakeholders.

Behaviour & Attitudes will present the results of the Survey to members and we would encourage members to attend, in order to hear the interesting results and consider any actions required in order to enhance our profession.
