Predictive Modelling For Customer Targeting - A Banking Example
The first part of the talk will cover examples of customer targeting that the public encounters on a regular basis. We will also see why companies invest in predictive models for customer targeting.
The second part will focus on a case study for banking telemarketing, where a model was built to predict customers likely to purchase a financial product. We will compare the performance of different models, see how to overcome class imbalance, and extract information from the model regarding the conditions and customer characteristics that favour a sale.
