Proposed Changes to the IFoA Exams
The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is currently undergoing a strategic review of Education. The review is being undertaken to ensure that the exams reflect the changing nature of the work of actuaries, thereby ensuring that qualifying actuaries remain fit for purpose in 2025 and beyond. To achieve this, all exam syllabuses and assessment methods are being reviewed. The changes will be confirmed mid-2016, new learning materials available by May 2017 with the first exams in the new structure to be held in April 2018.
As background to the proposed changes, it would be helpful for students to read this document which was circulated to the Student Consultative Representatives.
The Education Strategic Review Board from the IFoA would like to meet Irish students to discuss these changes and answer any of their questions.
This meeting is open to all members and to non-member actuarial students.
