Alistair J Byrne, SSgA, will present the findings of research they have conducted on the behaviour of DC scheme members, Eunice Dreelan from Irish Life Investment Managers will discuss the individualisation of DC using technology to drive investment choices, de-risking strategies and member communications and Mairead O'Mahony from Mercer will speak about asset allocation within DC scheme and the impact of changing contributions for DC schemes.
Speakers:
Eunice Dreelan is Director of Investment Development and is responsible for the domestic Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution client base and business development at ILIM. Prior to this Eunice worked with Goodbody Stockbrokers, Invesco and AON Consulting. . In 1999 Eunice joined Irish Life International as Business Development Manager in the South African office and then as Head of European Sales and Marketing before joining ILIM in 2005.
Alistair Byrne, CFA is a Senior DC Investment Strategist in SSGA's UK DC business. He is responsible for developing SSGA's investment proposition for UK DC clients, working with consultants, platforms, plan sponsors and trustees. Alistair joined SSGA in 2014. Prior to joining State Street, Alistair was a Senior DC Investment Consultant at Towers Watson, where he advised a number of large DC plans and led a team of DC consultants and analysts.
Alistair is an honorary professor at the University of Edinburgh Business School, and a Fellow of the Pensions Institute at Cass Business School in London.
Mairéad O'Mahony leads Mercer’s DC business in Ireland, responsible for the high-quality advice, solutions and services Mercer offers to its market-leading portfolio of DC clients. As a thought leader, Mairéad is frequently quoted in the press and is a regular contributor to industry events, working closely with policymakers, clients and industry participants to influence the ongoing evolution of the Irish pensions landscape. Mairéad has worked with Mercer since 2006, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
