Colin Haines is a Principal Consultant in Aon Hewitt's International Retirement & Investment Practice based in London. He advises international companies on their global pension arrangements, including the implementation and financing of cross-border pension plans. He is a UK and Swedish qualified actuary and a Senior Examiner for the International Employee Benefits Association. Colin also manages Aon Hewitt's retirement consulting team for the Nordic region.
Aidan O'Mahony is a Partner at Aon Hewitt where his focus is on advising pension trustee clients on the strength of their scheme's sponsor in relation to actuarial valuations, corporate finance transactions and regulatory requirements. Aidan has worked at Aon Hewitt for the past five years and prior to this he spent 15 years at Standard & Poor's in a variety of roles including analysing European companies and credit risk consulting. Aidan worked for BNP Paribas in corporate finance for 5 years and has a degree in engineering from University College Cork and an MBA from London Business School.
Aidan and Colin are on part-time secondment to the UK Pensions Regulator. They are members of the European Policy team that carried out the recent EIOPA Quantitative Impact Study for UK IORPs as well as an Impact Assessment for the UK government. They are also members of EIOPA's sponsor support working party.
