Test Achats - Impact on General Insurance

Changes in the application of the EU Gender Directive, arising from the Test Achats case, become effective for all new GI contracts from 21st Dec 2012. The European Commission has issued guidance on how new contracts are defined, but opinions are divided among industry practitioners, and this has clear implications for actuaries, both in terms of pricing in the short term, and risk and strategy over time. James Grennan (A&L Goodbody), Karl Niemann (Central Bank of Ireland) and Tony Culley (Allianz) have each agreed to give us a brief presentation, and then to participate afterwards in a panel discussion.
