Today the AAE published a press release with respect to the upcoming vote on the PEPP Regulation in the European Parliament on Monday 3 September 2018.

The Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) has published its 11th EU newsletter. This newsletter gives a very comprehensive legislative/regulatory update on all relevant European issues and is available on the “Community” page of the AAE website.

To access the newsletter, members must by registered on the AAE website. If you are not yet registered, please do so at Login Members and select Sign up.

The Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) has published a new European Standard of Actuarial Practice (ESAP 3) on “Actuarial practice in relation to the ORSA process under Solvency II”.

This is a model standard, suitable for adoption or adaptation by Full Member Associations of the AAE and other actuarial standard-setting organisations.  It is the AAE’s intent that, by publishing model standards, it will encourage the creation and convergence of national actuarial standards.  

The Actuarial Association of Europe has today issued a Press Release on the European Commission’s proposal for an EU Regulation for a Pan-European Personal Pension (PEPP).

The Actuarial Association of Europe has issued its latest edition of 'The European Actuary' magazine.

The Society is dedicated to serving the public by fostering the highest standards of professionalism and competence in actuarial practice.

In this context, the Society is inviting proposals from third parties to develop and deliver professionalism training for its members.  Detailed information on the background and the scope of the training can be found in the Society’s Request for Proposal  (RFP) (see attachment below).

The professionalism training will be delivered in two-year cycles; the first cycle will commence on 1st July 2017.

The Actuarial Association of Europe represents actuarial associations across Europe.  It currently has 36 member associations in 35 European countries, representing over 22,000 actuaries.

The Central Bank has today published Guidance for (Re)Insurance Undertakings on the Head of Actuarial Function Role.

A Feedback Statement on the Central Bank’s consultation on an earlier draft has also been published, along with copies of the submissions made by the Society and other entities. 

For the last 6 years, the Actuarial Association of Europe (AAE) and the International Actuarial Association (IAA) have organized a discussion forum together with two important international bodies - the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the International Social Security Association (ISSA). The purpose of this forum is to exchange views on current projects and issues, and to seek further areas of collaboration - all to help improve the soundness of decisions being made on societal issues having a global impact.
