Call for presenters – SAI Annual Convention 2024

The 2024 SAI Annual Convention is set to take place in-person on Friday, 15th November at the Convention Centre Dublin. Make sure to mark this date in your diary!

We are now welcoming expressions of interest from both members and non-members who would like to deliver a session at the Convention.

The Convention is a vibrant gathering of actuaries from all industries and experience levels, offering a wide range of topics. Our goal is to curate a programme that supports our members in their roles, focusing on technical skills, personal development, and professionalism. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to share your knowledge and contribute to the growth of our actuarial community. 

If you haven’t presented before, it’s worth reflecting on Ivor O’Shea’s comments last year when he received the Bruce Maxwell Award for Outstanding Contribution.  He quite rightly pointed out that taking the opportunity to present at the Convention or other events, is a great opportunity to build your profile and make connections on a topic you feel strongly about.  You can take all the time you want to prepare for it and share the quality of your thinking.

If you have a topic that you think you’d like to present on but aren’t sure if it’s been covered before or whether it might be of interest, or if you have doubts about the level at which it should be presented, don’t hesitate to reach out to the Society to talk it out.
