New Verifiable Experienced Practitioner route to Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary designation

Since 2010, the UK Institute and Faculty of Actuaries has been permitted to award the Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) qualification to those of its Associates and Fellows who have passed  its ST9 Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Specialist Technical examination (and, from September 2012, have also attended a one day seminar).

In 2012, the CERA Board granted the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries additional permission allowing the award of the CERA designation to a restricted number of its members who demonstrate a significant level of enterprise risk management expertise and experience but have not taken the ST9 examination or attended the seminar.

The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries has now invited applications from those of its Associates and Fellows who consider that they meet the eligibility requirements for this “Verifiable Experienced Practitioner” route to the CERA qualification.  The closing date is 31st July 2013.
