Andries Schutte Bcom:Hons, FIA, FASSA, CERA
Andries is a fellow of ASSA and the IFOA, as well as a CERA. He has worked in life assurance, stock broking, and consulting, across many roles. He founded Riskscape, a risk data and technology business doing significant climate related work, in 2012. He also joined True North Partners as a Partner in 2015 (both firms playing in the climate risk area). During his 20 years in consulting, where he has been a partner at KPMG and currently of True North Partners, he has extensively advised banks, insurance companies, and regulators in the Financial Services sector on enterprise and financial risk management topics. He is a keen entrepreneur and has co-founded several businesses predominantly in the analytical risk and technology sectors. Andries serves as non executive director on a number of private companies in the data analytics and property sectors specifically. He is a member of the IAA’s Climate and Sustainability committee, and chairperson of the IAA water risk task force.
Minh Phan: Head of AI Innovation
Minh is the Head of AI Innovation at Finity Consulting, Australia’s largest independent actuarial and analytical consulting firm.
He specialises in helping clients navigate AI adoption, covering ideation, training, tooling, governance and developing tailored solutions to solve business problems.
Ruoshu Chen Lead Actuary
Ruoshu currently works at Waymo, where her scope of work covers a wide range of topics including actuarial modeling, collision and claims analytics, safety research / framework building, and more. She previously worked at Uber in actuarial role in building the ridehailing company's actuarial and data foundation, as well as serving as data scientist on safety analytics projects.
