IAA President Charles Cowling invites the entire profession to participate in this year's International Actuaries Day virtual event.
Charles will present opening remarks highlighting the importance of Artificial Intelligence for the future of all actuaries, with Dorothy Andrews & Adam Driussi also presenting. at the event
Dorothy Andrews is the Senior Behavioral Data Scientist and Actuary for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners. She has more than 25 years of actuarial and statistical modeling experience with life insurance companies, property and casualty insurance companies, reinsurance companies, international consulting firms, and government agencies. Dorothy is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Certified Specialist in Predictive Analytics (CSPA). She holds a Ph.D. in Media Psychology with a focus on Big Data and Algorithms.
Adam Driussi is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Quantium, widely regarded as Australia’s leading data science and artificial intelligence firm. Established in 2002, Quantium now has 1200 staff working with many of the world’s leading brands to power new business possibilities via data, analytics and technology. Quantium recruits many of the brightest minds in data science and technology from within Australia and across the globe. In 2013 Adam was awarded Actuary of the Year by the Actuaries Institute in Australia for his work in data analytics.
