Call for Speakers: EAA e-Conference on Data Science & Data Ethics

We have announced the new date for our annual e-Conference on 'Data Science & Data Ethics': 14 May 2024 and have opened a Call for Speakers and would like to receive proposals for presentations relating to the following topics to be covered at the virtual conference:
Following Topics Are Open for Submission:
Data science and AI use cases in insurance, pensions, and risk management
- Generative AI and the risks and opportunities around those
- Explainable AI (XAI)
- Predictive AI
The power of data
- Actuarial approaches using big data outside traditional fields
- Use of consumer data (or other data sources) to improve actuarial models
Enhancing the actuarial role in data science and AI related tasks
- A blueprint for actuaries – Data Science in other industries
- What are (new) risks associated with AI?
- What are opportunities for actuaries?
- Where do actuaries fit in, e.g. regarding Generative AI, Predictive AI?
Regulation in the context of AI
- Data Science and data ethics, e.g. in underwriting
- Fairness and non-discrimination for insurance
Submissions that concern other topics but have an obvious link with the
e-Conference theme are also very welcome.
Submission deadline: 21 January 2024.
Thereafter, the programme will be created, and applicants will receive feedback.
