Webinar: SAI Webinar aimed at Senior Cycle secondary school students

Off the back of the very successful Society of Actuaries (SAI) TY Work Experience Program, the SAI's Diversity, Equity, Accessibility & Inclusion (DEAI) Committee is organising a Webinar "What does an actuary do?” for Senior Cycle students (5th and 6th year) with the aim of introducing the actuarial profession to students from a wide range of backgrounds. The Webinar will take place on Wednesday November 29th 2023 from 19:00 – 20:00.
For 5th and 6th year Students / Schools:
If you have an aptitude for Maths and are interested in a rewarding career in business with Maths at its core, have ambitions to succeed in a profession that is full of diversity and impact, or you are just curious to understand more about the role of an actuary, then this webinar is for you!
During the webinar you will get a genuine insight into the breadth of opportunity offered by the actuarial profession and meet lots of people who work as actuaries within the insurance industry. You will have an opportunity to vote on what questions to ask our panellists and will be able to participate in other activities.
At the end of this webinar, you should have lots more knowledge about the role of an actuary, to help you make informed choices about your future studies and career!
