CFA Society Ireland is delighted to host a webinar that will discuss the following:

    • What is “Private Credit”? 
    • Reflections on the growth of the European Private Credit market over the last 10 years from a niche strategy to core allocation amongst institutional investors.
    • The different segments of the Private Credit Landscape. 
    • A deep dive into Lower Mid-Market segment of Private Credit. 
    • The impact of recent macro events (including recent banking sector turmoil) and resulting inflation / rising interest rates on the asset class and explore the outlook for coming year and beyond. 
    • If time allows, we will also explore some common misconceptions surrounding private credit.

Biographical details

Prior to establishing DunPort, Ross was a Senior Investment Executive at BlueBay Asset Management (a subsidiary of Royal Bank of Canada), where he was responsible for the origination, execution and management of private credit investments.  Ross also worked in the debt advisory and restructuring team at Lazard, where he advised European middle market and high yield borrowers. Prior to Lazard he worked for Hawkpoint’s debt advisory & restructuring practice, Acision as Group Treasurer and Anglo Irish Bank as a leveraged finance banker focused on the UK and Ireland.  He has a BComm degree in Finance from University College Dublin, an MSc in International Business from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School in Ireland, is a CFA charter holder and has an MBA from Cass Business School in London.
