Gerard Nolan: Gerard is a Principal and consulting actuary with Mercer. He provides general and actuarial consulting advice to a variety of clients, covering funding issues, accounting implications, pension plan design and compliance with various regulatory requirements. Gerard is actively involved with the Society of Actuaries in Ireland – currently as Chair of the Pensions Committee as well as being on the Society’s Council. He is also a member of Mercer’s Actuarial Best Practice Group
Aaron Kilboy: Aaron is a Consultant with LCP Ireland, where he works with defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes to help them manage the wide range of risks that they face, with a particular focus on investment risks. His work includes providing ongoing investment advice and performance monitoring for trustees and sponsoring employers, helping trustees to establish and manage an effective risk management function and advising DB trustees on the conduct and management of bulk annuity transactions. In addition to client work, he is a member of LCP’s asset modelling and asset class assumption groups, who are responsible for the development and governance of the firm’s proprietary investment models. He is also a member of the Society of Actuaries’ Finance & Investment Committee and a regular contributor at the Society’s leaving cert maths grinds programme.
Lindsay Maxwell: Lindsay is a Senior Actuary at Irish Life working on the Products and Innovation Retail team. Lindsay started her career in Canada Life Europe and, working within the Great-West Lifeco group of companies, has 12 years’ experience covering reinsurance, actuarial operations, valuations, unit linked protection and products. Lindsay has special interests in both implementing regulatory requirements and the area of actuarial professionalism
Tom Matthews: Tom is responsible for commercial strategy, advice and distribution for Saol Assurance. He is also a member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland's Pensions Committee and has previously formed part of working groups on auto-enrolment and pensions simplification.
