IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts – UK endorsement of finalised standard webinar

Outreach events for investors and other users and other stakeholders are planned over the coming months and will be publicised accordingly.
The IASB has now completed its re-deliberations of the proposed amendments to IFRS 17 and plans to issue the finalised standard by the end of June 2020. As the EU is not expected to endorse the standard before the end of the UK’s Transition Period, it is highly likely that IFRS 17 will need separate assessment by the UK Endorsement Board.
Registration for the webinar is on a first come basis and places for the webinar are limited.

This webinar will take place on Microsoft Teams

The webinar will provide an update for preparers and include:
- A presentation from Darrel Scott, IASB Board member, explaining the basis for the IASB’s amendments to the standard and addressing key issues for UK preparers
- An overview of the context and requirements for UK endorsement of IFRS, the planned approach for IFRS 17 and how you can get involved in outreach
- There will also be an opportunity for participants to submit questions.
