Making An Impact

As part of our Lifelong Learning agenda to deliver more events that facilitate members’ personal development, we are delighted to announce two dates for a half-day morning course  run by The Communications Clinic on ‘Making An Impact’.  To ensure the training is experiential, each course will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants, focusing on how to communicate clearly, negotiate and build relationships.

This course will be particularly beneficial for actuaries whose current or future role requires them to have strong influencing and relationship management skills.

The Making an Impact course focusses on a person’s ability to communicate clearly, negotiate and build relationships.  Skills like presenting, listening, questioning in a non-threatening way, communication, influencing and negotiating are elicited through the training.

The training is designed to change people’s behaviour. It gives them clear pointers for continued skills enhancement, not just theory which leaves them with longer words to describe what they still can’t do. It also allows individuals to show their skill level and to have it honestly assessed with improvement, not criticism, as the objective.

This is an excellent opportunity for members to avail of The Communications Clinic's highly regarded specialist expertise in all aspects of communication, while also sharing the experience and learning with other actuaries.

Please note that payment is required when booking.

*** This session will be repeated on 12th December 2017.  Click here to book for this date instead ***
