Directors' Interest Group Meeting

This event is open to Fellows or Associates who are currently, or in the recent past have been, Executive or Non-Executive Directors of financial institutions, and to actuaries who aspire to become INEDs in financial institutions.  We have a registered list of people who fall into one of these categories and are interested in attending events.

We are delighted to bring to your attention an upcoming Directors' Interest Group meeting on the subject of conduct risk.

Conduct risk, and its implications and management, is a very current theme in financial services globally. The Central Bank of Ireland has recently established a distinct consumer and conduct focused unit.  EIOPA is carrying out a series of customer focused thematic reviews within the European insurance market.  All Boards are giving increased attention to the area.

Brian Binchy, Director, Advisory Services at EY, will join us to set the scene and share some of his experiences in this area.    Brian leads regulatory projects with a focus on advising institutions on conduct of business and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements, and the implications of each for their business.

The members of the Leadership Team for the Group look forward to welcoming you on 21st November and perhaps continue the discussion over a drink afterwards.

This event is free of charge to SAI Members
