Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) Tutorial

The Society of Actuaries in Ireland is pleased to announce that it is holding a half-day CERA tutorial from 1.30pm-5.00pm, Wednesday 5th March 2014 in the Society’s Offices. The aim of the tutorial is to provide effective assistance to Student and Fellow members of the Society who are studying for subject ST9 – the Enterprise Risk Management exam of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries to attain the CERA qualification.

Biographical details

Colm Fitzgerald is a lecturer in Actuarial Mathematics at DCU and a Senior Teaching Fellow in Financial Markets at Keele University, where he lectures on the MSc in Finance & Risk Management programme. Colm was one of the original authors of the ST9 Core Reading. He is currently a member of the ST9 Syllabus Review Group. He is involved in several different aspects of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries’ educational system across a number of subjects. Before working in education, Colm worked in investment, trading, life insurance and risk management. Colm is a fellow of the Institute & Faculty of Actuaries and the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
