Open Forum on Irish issues: update on latest events in the general insurance market
This Open Forum is aimed at actuaries who are interested in finding out the latest within the Irish general insurance market. Tony Jeffery, Deputy Head of Insurance Supervision at the Financial Regulator, will give an overview of the working of the Financial Regulator, including work on Solvency II implementation. Karl Murphy will provide a summary of recent changes to Actuarial Standards of Practice issued by the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, and will speak about how to treat uncertainty in Reports on Statements of Actuarial Opinion. He will also provide a brief summary of market statistics.
