Webinar: Current Topics Paper

The recording of this webinar can be found on:

The Current Topics paper is an initiative of the Society's Recent Qualifiers Committee. It is produced by recently qualified actuaries, with oversight from experienced colleagues, and provides a summary of recent developments from the following practice areas:

  • Life & Health Insurance,
  • Pensions,
  • General Insurance,
  • Climate Change and
  • Diversity & Inclusion.

This event is an ideal opportunity for all actuaries who would like to keep abreast of developments outside of their area of specialism and for actuarial students, (I)NEDs and others looking for an overview of current actuarial / business issues and topics.

Creative Use of Actuarial Skills

Following this event, we will be announcing the winners of the Creative Use of Actuarial Skills competition.

This competition is an initiative of the Wider Fields Committee, specifically for University students to demonstrate a creative use of the actuarial skillset and consider areas beyond those where actuaries traditionally work (specifically insurance & pensions).

This event will be run as a live webinar using Zoom. Click here for information on using Zoom.

NB: As a security measure, there is a two-step registration process before you receive the link to join any webinar.  The first step is to register your interest in attending a webinar by making a reservation for an event via the Society’s website.  You will receive a link to then register via the Zoom platform.  It is after this second registration step that you will receive the link to join the webinar.
